Project Manager – Landscape Design/Build

Salary Range: $65,000 – $80,000 annually

Position Summary

The Project Manager plays a pivotal role in delivering the Oriole Experience to both clients and staff. This individual is responsible for overseeing landscape projects from concept to completion, ensuring they are executed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. The Project Manager acts as a liaison between clients, crews, and contractors, providing leadership, clear communication, and strategic oversight throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

· Project Leadership & Planning

· Guide clients and internal teams through all phases: consultation, design development, estimating, and construction.

· Delegate tasks effectively.

· Client & Team Coordination

·  Maintain open lines of communication with clients, crews, and subcontractors.

· Address concerns promptly and professionally to ensure smooth project execution.

· Budget & Resource Management

· Monitor project budgets and control costs.

· Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, and sub-contractors.

· Documentation & Compliance

· Ensure all project documentation is complete and accurate, including drawings, permits, contracts, locates, and shop drawings.

· Quality Assurance & Risk Management

· Identify potential risks and implement proactive solutions.

· Uphold industry standards and exceed client expectations in workmanship and service.

· Performance Tracking

· Conduct weekly reviews of project metrics and progress.

Qualifications

· Degree in Landscape Architecture, or related field

· Proven experience in landscape construction project management

· Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle

· Three years’ experience as a project manager in landscape construction

Skills & Competencies

· Proficiency in designing, drawing concepts and construction drawings using Vectorworks or AutoCAD

· Strong organizational and time management skills

· Excellent verbal and written communication

· Comfortable and confident with client management, including in-person meetings

· Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)

· Detail-oriented with a solid understanding of construction processes

· Capable of developing and improving operational processes

· SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator

· Rendering

Asset

· Experience as a crew leader in landscape construction

Working Conditions

· Full-time, salaried position

· Hours range from 40–50 hours/week, Monday to Friday, with flexible time off in the winter months

· Physical tasks and repetitive duties may be required
