Position: Landscape Maintenance Technician
Location: Toronto
Hourly wage: $23–$28, based on experience and skill level
Reports To: Crew leader

Position Summary
· As a Landscape Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the care and upkeep of residential landscapes across Toronto. This includes performing landscape maintenance tasks such as planting, mowing, trimming, pruning, leaf collection, and site cleanup. You will work with hand tools and power equipment, ensuring each property is maintained to the highest standards. Crews typically service 6–10 properties per day.
Key Responsibilities
· Prepare and maintain landscape maintenance sites, ensuring safety and cleanliness
· Manage traffic around work zones when necessary
· Load, unload, and organize tools and equipment on crew vehicles
· Install, fertilize, and water plant material
· Operate leaf blowers, trimmers, mowers and other landscaping equipment
· Drive crew truck between job sites and the company yard
· Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
· Receive on-the-job training and guidance for all tasks
Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Previous landscape maintenance experience is an asset
· Valid Ontario G-class driver’s license is an asset

Working Conditions
· Full-time, seasonal position (spring to fall)
· Outdoor work in all weather conditions
· Start time: 6:30 AM at the yard / 7:00 AM on-site
· Weekly hours: 40–70, Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays
· Overtime pay provided beyond 88 hours per pay period
· Long weekends off when possible
· Participation in the Horticultural Technician Apprenticeship Program encouraged
Physical Requirements
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
· Frequent bending, lifting, and repetitive tasks
